Litha Ideas:
Exercise! It’ll be a great way to raise energy and move in honor of the Gods.
Donate! I’ve been collecting a ton of clothes and goods I don’t need anymore. Now’s a good time to drop that off for charity.
Today I’ll be working to learn more about Solar/God energies through ritual, meditation and divination. I’ve always been pretty goddess-centric; though I do acknowledge God aspects I haven’t given them their due. So today, I will begin working with Apollo, brother of Artemis.
Apollo (Greek): The son of Zeus by Leto, Apollo was a multi-faceted god. In addition to being the god of the sun, he also presided over music, medicine and healing. He was at one point identified with Helios. As worship of him spread throughout the Roman empire into the British Isles, he took on many of the aspects of the Celtic deities, and was seen as a god of the sun and of healing.
A Prayer to the Sun
The sun is high above usshining down upon the land and sea, making things grow and bloom.Great and powerful sun, we honor you this day and thank you for your gifts.Ra, Helios, Sol Invictus, Aten, Svarog, you are known by many names. You are the light over the crops, the heat that warms the earth, the hope that springs eternal, the bringer of life.We welcome you, and we honor you this day, celebrating your light,as we begin our journey once moreinto the darkness.

The sun is high above us
shining down upon the land and sea,
making things grow and bloom.
Great and powerful sun,
we honor you this day
and thank you for your gifts.
Ra, Helios, Sol Invictus, Aten, Svarog,

the hope that springs eternal,
the bringer of life.
We welcome you, and we honor you this day,
celebrating your light,
as we begin our journey once more
into the darkness.
